Flutter vs React Native in 2026

When Flutter wins, when React Native still makes sense, and when you should pay for native Kotlin or Swift instead.

Developer comparing Flutter and React Native in a code editor

Most business apps should not be two native teams. The fight is Flutter versus React Native — and sometimes neither. This is how we choose on Flutter and mobile projects.

Flutter is usually the default

  • One UI toolkit, consistent on Android and iOS.
  • Fast iteration with hot reload your stakeholders can see weekly.
  • Strong for CRUD, bookings, commerce and field apps.

React Native still wins when

  • Your web team already ships React and will own the app.
  • You must share a large JavaScript business-logic package.
  • A specific native module you need is healthier in the RN ecosystem.

Go native when you can name the reason

Heavy graphics, unusual background work, or “we need this OS API the week Apple ships it”. Prestige is not a reason. See Android and iOS.

Describe the first user journey. We will pick a stack in the proposal, not in a tweet — contact.
